Rod ball mill is featured by the use of rod as grinding media, it is widely used in metallic and non-metallic mining, water conservancy, and building materials to grind all kind of rocks and ores.
There are two kinds of rod mill: the dry type and the wet type. Our engineer will suggest you the proper type according to individual need. The wet type rod mill has three kins: overflow rod mill, open mouth rod mill, surrounding type ball mill.

Rod Ball Mill Working Principle:
The cylinder rotating with a certain speed, the grinding medium is thrown up and down in friction and centrifugal force, such process make the material impact on the grind arenaceous, achieve system purpose. The rod mill performs best when making products having a top size of 4 mesh to 16 mesh operating in open circuit, or as fine as 35 mesh operating in closed circuit with a screen or other sizing device.

Application of Rod Ball Mill:
1) Tungsten tin and other rare mineral re-election or magnetic separation plant, and quartz sand plant;
2) When using two paragraphs continuous grinding, if the first input materials granularity is between 6-20mm and the output material granularity is between 1-3mm, rod mil is often selected as the first paragraph grinding equipment. Its production capacity is larger, and its efficiency is higher ;
3) In some cases, rod mill can be used as a substitute of short-head cone crusher for fine crushing.
